PhD Thesis Defense

Congratulations to "Shen Ji" for successfully defending his PhD thesis "DEVELOPMENT OF NOVEL INKS AND APPROACHES FOR PRINTING TISSUES AND ORGANS". Shen is the first PhD graduate from IBAM-Lab. Many thanks to his hard work and his dedication. He will definitely be missed!!! Congrats Dr. Ji !!!

Session Organizer / AIChE 2019 Annual Meeting

Dr. Guvendiren organized and chaired a session on "Additive Manufacturing of Biomaterials" in the AIChE 2020 Virtual  Meeting. Shen Ji also delivered a podium presentation during the conference.

CEMB Undergraduate Research Symposium

Our lab participated in the virtual summer program for undergraduate students organized by the Center for Engineering Mechanobiology. We have three interns: Joenid Colon-Mateo and Andrea Plaza-Castro from the University of Puerto Rico at Cayey, and Christian Tessman from Johns Hopkins University. During this four week virtual research program, our trainees worked on data analysis and modeling of cardiomyocyte alignment on patterned 2D substrates. They presented their work titled  "Patterning hydrogel thin films for inducing cardiomyocyte alignment"  during the research symposium.

CHE722 - Additive Manufacturing and Applications

In this semester, CHE722 took place in our newly established CME 3D Printing Laboratory. We had a great group of graduate students with diverse backgrounds.
