RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES for COLLEGE-LEVEL and K-12 STUDENTS
IBAM-Lab offers specifically designed research projects to provide get hands-on research experience for college-level and K-12 students. IBAM-Lab has an NSF funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. In addition, NJIT offers a variety of Undergraduate Research and Innovation Programs. See details and application information from the link - NJIT URI Programs.
IBAM-Lab actively participate in a variety of NJIT sponsored Undergraduate Research and Innovation Programs. See details and application information from the link - NJIT URI Programs.
Phase-1 and Phase-2 Student Grant (URISG) program provides NJIT undergraduate students awards to pursue research or develop proof-of-concept prototypes. Funds can only be used to order project supplies and prototyping through the Office of Undergraduate Research and Innovation. Awardees will present their progress reports in the URI workshops.
The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, awards grants to institutions of higher education for projects designed to provide underrepresented students with effective preparation for doctoral study. The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement program is a comprehensive one. It is designed to help low-income and first-generation or underrepresented students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to complete their bachelor's degree, and to enroll in post-baccalaureate degree programs, with the goal of obtaining doctoral degrees
NJIT I-Corps Sites Program offers specialized training and mini-grants up to $3,000 to teams with interest in exploring the commercial viability of their ideas for products and businesses that are based on their own inventions, University intellectual property, or any STEM-related technology. Accepted teams are also eligible to access to the Entrepreneur Development Center and its resources through this program.
Provost Summer Research and Innovation Program:
NJIT provides opportunities for research participation for undergraduate and high school students. Every year, students get an opportunity to explore a research topic of interest - under the guidance of a faculty mentor, and to present their work in the Dana-Knox Student Research Showcase and network with members of advisory boards and NJIT community.
